I used to be happy about being Canadian. I felt happy and proud and lucky. I would wake up every day and just do what I had to do without worrying too much about the place where I lived.
Those were the good old days, when I didn't have other media sources to start waking me up. I was an NPC--Non Player Character, as Tajana Cekic hilariously describes it here.
Like her I am awake now, and there is no turning back.
If you have drifted through a few of my pages you are probably getting the idea that I am not too happy about my country any more. If I had to boil it all down, my point so far would be that politically we are digging our own grave.
Culturally, though, it is even worse. That is what this page is for. The worst.
So welcome to MAID. Medical Assistance In Dying. You've probably heard of it, and are likely in the majority who haven't really thought about it much, or think it's good and fair and compassionate and haven't given it a second thought.
NPC all the way.
You need to know the truth about it. You need to see that this one piece of legislation has officially turned Canada into an evil country. I am not exaggerating. I am not kidding.
Before I give definitive proof that this is so, let me provide some important basic information up front. You can find most of this yourself by just googling two questions:
How many people in Canada have been killed by MAID?
Who is eligible and soon to be eligible for MAID?
Here are the basic facts:
Since the legalization of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) in June 2016, there have been 76,475 recorded MAID deaths in Canada, as of the end of 2024. The number of assisted deaths has increased annually, reaching 16,499 in 2024 alone, which accounts for approximately 5.1% of all deaths in Canada that year. Let's adjust those numbers just a bit, since the total leaves out all of 2025. Assuming the rate of killing will at least remain constant, we need to add another 16,000 or so to the total, which will bring us to at least 95,000 deaths.
That is the entire population of Red Deer, Alberta, or St. John, New Brunswick. Think that over and count to ten. This should result in your first 'holy fuck!' moment.
Doctors killing people is now the fifth leading cause of death in Canada, tied with cancer and heart disease. 'Holy fuck!' #2
Classification Note: Statistics Canada does not officially list MAID as a separate category in their main mortality ranking, as they code the underlying condition (e.g., cancer) for which the request was made. (That is a Quote from Google AI.) StatsCan hides the real number of Canadians killed by their doctors or nurses by filing the death under the underlying condition that prompted the killing. So the numbers reported by the government are misleading, and obviously higher.
Who is deemed "eligible" for MAID? There are two present "tracks" for eligibility to being killed by a medical practitioner. ("killed by a medical practitioner..." doesn't that just sound wrong?) The first to be established was that death had to be imminent or foreseeable. This was the original justification, with the premise of being compassionate, ie for cancer patients who were suffering. That did not last long, as the slippery slope slithered in. We soon moved to track two: NOT reasonably foreseeable death, for patients with chronic suffering. Notice the nice vague language? "Chronic suffering" does not have to be physical, does it? So here comes track three: by 2027 you can have yourself killed if you are depressed. Or disabled. Or homeless. Or if you just feel like it. Or if the government really wants you to. Officially it won't take place until 2027, but it is already happening now. See examples below.
MAID is being actively promoted by doctors and nurses. Doctorss and nurses who not only do it but think it's just a peachy idea.
I hope all this is getting to you. Maybe you don't believe that your country is getting this evil. Or maybe you don't see any of this as evil at all.
Keep going. I am lining up real life examples to show that everything I have said thus far is true. Maybe you need to look the evil in the face instead of just reading what I am saying.
Or maybe you want to retreat back to NPC territory. It's up to you.
Let's start with this clip from Global News. Brand new. The story has been picked up by a number of international news agencies, who are wondering aloud if Canada isn't going just a tad too far with encouraging and counselling suicide. Pay attention to Ellen Wiebe, the death practioner who is interviewed here. She sounds so reasonable and careful. You will get to see another side of her in the video that follows this one.
I checked a little further. His family loved him very much, and had him on the right track. They had planned a family trip to Europe with him. But he snuck off to BC and talked the medical people into doing it. Not ONCE did Wiebe think to call his parents. His depression was seasonal, and he had climbed out of it several times before. But she did not bother to find that out, and happily killed him anyway.
Now let's take a closer look at Ellen. Speaking of the face of evil. She kills people for a living, and seems to enjoy it. Watch this video, and see if she does not make your skin crawl.
"They can recline here and snuggle up with their loved ones..." as I kill them.
Picture someone you really love. Now picture snuggling with them while a complete stranger gets out the needle, sticks it in their arm, and you watch as they kill them.
"You'd have to be suffering unbearably (chuckle-chuckle...."). No you would not , Ellen. Keyano wasn't suffering unbearably--but you offed him anyway.
Matt Walsh makes one more essential point. The medical community should NOT be doing this. We have given doctors and nurses a license to kill. Doctors who kill. And you do not think that some of them aren't getting a taste for it?
If you want to die, for whatever reason, ok. Nothing I can do to stop you. You can do it a dozen different ways. But as soon as you demand that a doctor do it? You are in my territory now. Your decision affects me, and so far it has affected about 100,000 Canadians, and created monsters like Ellen Wiebe.
Oopsie doopsie. We talked you into taking a so-called vacccine that has paralyzed you for life. Instead of us asking for your forgiveness, and giving you a lifetime of treatment and facilities to make you life as bearable as possible, how 'bout we just kill you? Hm? Good deal all around, don'tcha think?
Next: Remember the following when they try to tell you that nobody gets killed without their permission.
Nice guy, that husband. `
Next we turn to Steven Crowder, one of the most popular podcasters in the world, with millions of followers. Why so popular? Because he and his team are fearless and funny as hell, as well as being shamelessly Christian and conservative. What they say in this clip about Canada is probably going to cause your eyes to bug out at first. They say Canada is evil. Period. Mainly because of our MAID program, but for other reasons as well. You may not like to hear it, but you need to listen.
Would I say that Canadians are evil? No, of course not. But our government is. And the people enforcing, expanding and carrying out the MAID program are. In the eyes of others like Crowder we sure do look it.
How right are they? Ask yourself this as you watch.
Don't get confused by the rumble wallet ad--that's all it is, an ad. Funny though.
Wouldn't that be a great phone call to get? You have to ask yourself, what is going on in the soul of the person making those calls?
