Take a look at this CBC headline and photo regarding Iran. You would think the whole country is in mourning, thanks to that evil Trump. Then listen to the commentary.

I am not alone in my narrow-eyed mistrust of the North American media. A whopping 72% of Americans say they do not trust that the reporting of their media to be fair and balanced (Gallup). Meanwhile, trust in Canadian media has dropped like a stone, from 55% in 2016 to just 39% a year ago.
I am not some kind of cranky outlier after all. I am a cranky member of a majority, which hopefully includes you.
Here is where it gets interesting. According to a recent Canadian "Trust in Media" polling project,
"Liberals are more trusting than Conservatives of most media outlets (exceptions include the National Post, Sun newspapers, The Western Standard, Rebel Media, and FOX News). The largest trust gap comes for the CBC, with this gap widening over the past year."
Liberals' trust in the CBC, CTV, Global News, and the left leaning newspapers is "significantly" higher than conservatives, and they do not trust any of the conservative outlets.
Liberals are less trusting of conservative news outlets; conservatives are less trusting of liberal news outlets. Ok, that might be kind of normal, both being more comfortable with news agencies that better reflect their own political, cultural, and moral leanings. We do tend to like to listen to voices that agree with our own. It is called confirmation bias. Birds of a feather and all that.
The hope, then, should be that both sides still at least try to tell the truth, while their interpretation of what the truth reveals may be a bit different.
I am about to make the case that this is not true. I am going to make the case, by providing examples, of how the liberal media consistently, and often radically, manipulate a story to make it fit their own liberal ideology.
I will begin with the most obvious, blatant, and undeniable examples that I have found. We will go American at first, and focus on Trump. Most of the American media has one main objective: to destroy Trump and with him the Republican Party.
In Canada we will see that most of our media--particularly the CBC--has a parallel objective: to destroy Pierre Polievre, Danielle Smith, and with them the Conservative Party.
I am going to show you just a few to start off. I have a file with all kinds of examples.
I would be happy to have my view challenged. I say that the leftist media is willing to distort, manipulate, and outright lie in their news coverage in order to make you think a certain way. Now it is your turn. Show me lies and distortions from the Western Standard, Rebel News, the Sun newspaper chain, the National Post, and Fox News, which are as blatant as the ones below.
Show me.
The first is how the Legacy media in the USA initially reported the fact that Trump came within an inch of having his brains blown out on live TV in front of thousands of his supporters.
An American president was nearly assassinated. And the anti-Trump media tried desperately to downplay it, no big deal, plus it was his fault for being Hitler. Watch how the media's hatred for Trump nearly got him killed.
They lied. They openly promoted hate. What they did is disgusting. Prove me wrong.
Something old followed by something new. The media has been desperately trying to link Trump with Epstein. Since they could not find anything in the released files, well, darn it, they just had to manufacture something.
This just came out. It took about an hour to show it's fake.
They cheat. They lie. And I guarantee you that although it has been proven that this is fake, millions of leftists will believe it until the day they die.
Moving on to the Canadian media, let's start with a recent, more subtle example.
Jesse Strang is the man who just murdered eight people, most of them children, in Tumbler Ridge. The CBC, the RCMP, and City News keep calling him her, or she. So, do we need to ask why City News would take the time to make him look more feminine?
They want you to buy in, that's why. They want you to see him as her. They want you to think that it is normal--actually possible-- for a man to be a girl. They want you to buy into the madness that killed those innocent kids.
Don't bloody well do it.

It is fairly easy to find all kinds of examples of Canadian media bias against Trump and against pretty much anything conservative. When it comes to the CBC, their journalists would land at various points on the anti-trump spectrum, ranging from mild cases to severe truth-be-damned Trump Derangement Syndrome. You will see examples of both ends of the spectrum in the following clip.
Watch this example, and picture the average boomer or the average politically innocent Canadian who sits down every night to watch the CBC. If this kind of blatantly subjective reporting becomes part of their daily news diet, it becomes fairly easy to see why eventually they would overwhelmingly vote for a Liberal Party that ran almost exclusively on fomenting anti-Trump hysteria.
What you about to see is not journalism. This is state sponsored and paid for propaganda.
If you do not see it that way, it might be because the CBC et al have worked on you the same way they did and do with their daily viewers. To help you see it, you need to go to the page "All Things Trump." You need to see that the American people did not overwhelmingly choose Trump as their president because they were stupid or misguided or indoctrinated by the media. The American media complex and the Democratic Party in fact did everything they could to stop Trump.
The American people voted for Trump because they saw something that maybe you do not see. And it would be good for you to see it.
Watch the clip, and picture yourself as a Canadian citizen getting a regular dose of this kind of journalism every day, without a counterbalancing source. Watch as the Canadian media complex, way back on Trump's election day, already took the first steps towards painting Polievre as the Trump of the North. Then respond. I would love to hear your take.
I spoke earlier about Trump Derangement Syndrome. Here is a little video about it. Again let me know what you think. Are at least some people going a little crazy over this guy? A little hysterical?
Maybe good old Rosie can't stand Alberta, but she sure has no problem with telling tall stories about it. You gotta love this oops of an open mic moment. They actually laugh with each other about their duplicity once they think they are off the air.
