There is a Canadian cure for the same thing. Just not as funny.
All you have to do is watch or read most of the content in the Canadian media. The inherent dishonesty and bias that runs through the majority of their reporting should cause incontinence in anyone who recognizes it.
We are being played. Played as patsies by a Canadian media complex that has quietly nestled itself into the pockets of the ruling Liberal party.
'Quite the claim, Sherlock,' you might say. 'Why would our sweet and loveable Canadian media be subverted to promote the Liberal Party at the expense of being fair and honest in their coverage?'
Before I answer, calling us patsies is not meant as an insult to my fellow Canadians. The propaganda machine that is influencing our thoughts and emotions is powerful, organized, and pervasive . It consists of all the major Canadian television news networks (CBC, CTV, Global News, etc.) and nearly all the major Canadian newspapers.
Why, we ask again, has the Canadian media complex practically become an arm of the Liberal Party?
As usual, follow the money.
Our Canadian media is fatally compromised primarily because their financial survival--their very existence--relies on substantial handouts from the federal Liberal government.
That is why.
Without those handouts, they cease to exist.
Just have a look at the numbers. Numbers your Canadian media never, ever talk about. The amount of taxpayer money--your money--that is propping them up is staggering.
Listen to this excerpt from the Macdonald-Laurier Institute :
Between the various media support programs and CBC funding, the federal government is spending over $1.7 billion annually subsidising journalism and media. That’s more than the $1.4 billion it will spend annually on the Canada Disability Benefit—and more than it plans to spend over the first five years of its National Pharmacare Plan combined.
Imagine that. They think it more important to finance the CBC and private media companies than it is to support disabled Canadians or those who need help with their medical prescriptions.
The Liberal Party of Canada has bought our news organizations. Period. Through their direct handouts, along with substantial tax breaks, the Canadian government is paying (correct that, you are paying) anywhere from $55,000 to $85,000 of nearly every Canadian journalist's salary.
Let that sink in as you get the full story from the MLI report . Take the time to read it. You need to know the truth.
We need one more quote from the MLI to solidify our claim that our media are fatally compromised, and can no longer be trusted.
"Ironically, the existential threat has arrived--(media as propaganda instead of a source of reliable objective reporting, my insert)—but it has come from the treatment, not the disease. Whatever the outcome of the next election, those of us who believe in the value of journalistic objectivity should hope the federal government ends these taxpayer subsidy programs. The independence of our once-proud news media depends on it.
Once you understand how deeply dependent the Canadian news media is on the Liberal government, you will also understand how that same media have inevitably become biased against the Conservative Party.
In the Conservative Party platform they promise to virtually eliminate most media subsidies and stop giving the CBC 1.7 BILLION dollars per year.
That is a death sentence for the CBC and the Canadian media.
If you were a Canadian mainstream journalist who knew that more than half of your salary came at the behest of the Liberal Party, do you think that maybe, just maybe, you would be ready to bend your reporting in favor of that same party that is putting half of the bread and butter on your table?
They will do what they have to--have to do what they have to--to make it diffictult, if not impossible, for the Conservative Party to gain power.
Your Canadian media is hopelessly compromised. Do you see that? The reason, understandable though profoundly immoral, is simple: they cannot not bite the hand that not only feeds them but keeps them alive.
Most of the talking heads in the news--especially on the CBC--are not paid to think any more, but to always, always, subtly and sometimes not-so-subtly, promote the Liberal Party line.
They are not telling you what is going on. They are telling you what to think about what is going on, all while pretending to be objective.
There is another cultural force at play here, which we will get into later. There is a general, not-so-subtle, anti-conserative sentiment among the two provinces which, whether we like it or not, determine our elections--Ontario and Quebec. And that discrimination feeds right into the hands of a media already more than happy to keep that it alive.
There is a looming, catastrophic truth that flows from our naive over-dependence on Canadian media.
If we do not actively seek the other side of what our Canadian media is reporting, so we can see what is actually happening to this country, and act to make changes, Canada will cease to exist as a true democracy.
What?! You exclaim indignantly. How?
Like Dostoevski, I am ready to make a prediction.
If the Liberals, despite all the economic, social and cultural ruin they have wrought in the last ten years, win again in the next election, you will never again see a different federal government in power.
If the Canadian public is so thoroughly indoctrinated and misguided that they are willing to re-elect a government that has all but destroyed the things that have kept Canada alive and thriving, there will be no point in mounting any real political opposition any longer.
With the collusion of the Canadian media, we will become locked into a one party state.
Canada will de facto become a one party, socialist dictatorship.
Under Carney and the Liberals, if we Canadians continue to keep them in power, the following is not a joke, but a foreshadowing:
You are welcome now to explore the contents of this site. I suggest that if you want to examine or challenge my evidence for such a bold and disturbing prophecy, begin with my commentary on Mark Carney's recent speech at Davos. He received a standing ovation from the Davos WEF (World Economic Forum) crowd, and was lauded throughout much of the world. His speech was met with so much approval by many of the Canadian public (due to it being unanimously fawned over by the Canadian media) that his cratering approval ratings in the polls rebounded to the point where, if an election were called today, he and his Liberal Party could once again win and be in power--likely for good.
That had to be one heckuva speech. Combined with one heckuva a media blitz celebrating it.
You need to read it. Never mind what was said about it. Read it. And then judge my commentary on it for yourself.
It is, I agree, one of the most substantial speeches ever given by a Canadian PM, but for all the wrong reasons.
It does not spell a new beginning, but a new end. Its recommendations will not lead us out of the yawning abyss but further into it--and quickly.
Now is your first opportunity to skate on the other side of the ice. Read on! Peruse! Have a laugh here and there!
Once you have read the Carney speech commentary, you will be provided with a number of other news and opinion sources who, in one way or another, offer evidence to support my opinion about the true significance of what he is saying.
Here is the question we are asking: which of these is the correct image?
